I have a suggestion regarding multiboxing and shops.
Now we have allowed 4 boxes in total. In the beginning of May that amount will inrease to 9.
In my opinion it means that each player will be allowed to run 2 active boxes and 7 offline or online shops at once. (it might also mean that amount of offline shops is unlimited and only active connections to the server are limited by 9 but that's imo the worst possibility so I hope this isn't true).
My suggestion is to drastically limit the amount of shops and boxes players can run.
1. The possibility of running many shops at once unneccessarily increases the price for rare items. Because "it might eventually sell" on one of few shops placed around.
2. We have lots of private stores opened already and they keep on coming up. It's now, already with 4 boxes limit. Many players with weaker hardware will be forced to use Lower Detail each time they teleport or they'll have few minutes to get a tea or coffee. I know that on retail servers there were even more of them and in my opinion we don't need that.
3. Leaving the amount of boxes allowed as 4 and lowering the amount of offline shops to for example 2 or even 1 would increase the quality of the market. Players would be forced to precisely find the right price for their goods and use it for their own benefit, without taking random risks for shops which just block the vendor area from being used by other players. We could have less scamers too.
4. Why not to allow 9 active boxes but 4 or (hopefully, my dream) even less, like 3 or even 2!?
Because we will have lots of private buffers placed in towns near gatekeepers and we will have a very hard time loading the town map while teleporting and then finding our way through first the active/passive characters, of which there will be much more than it is now and then going to the market area with /findprivatestore scouting around and lagging the s**t out of our PCs.
If the numbers are real, then we have from 5k to 10k people online. x4 is 20 to 40k characters online. x9 is 45k to 90k characters online - this will become the allowed limit. And we have 8 major cities where the shops and buffers are/will be placed. I know that not everyone multiboxes but for every person who doesn't there's a person who does to the limit. That's a lot of characters in town.
