Dear friends!


We are glad to welcome you on our forum once again and announce our new coming server.
As usual, we will try to sum up what happened last year, talk about future plans and give you some information about next server.

2019 have passed and left both good and bad memories. The worst thing about 2019 is DDoS attacks that messed up server starts or epic bosses farm. After this time we can say that we finally found optimal security solution that protects our servers and don't make 9999 ping at the same time. There was "Clash of legends", kings victories and insane comebacks, that we did not see for years. Some streamers got banned and lost, some new appeared and grow. We have shut down GvE development and future servers. GvE was a good product though and was made by great team.


In the last year we opened 3 servers. Only you can judge us for those things, but we worked hard to make them interesting and still working on improvements every day.
This year we will keep up this mood and will try to achieve new heights and don't shoot ourselves in the foot (link on thread regarding our first server in 2019).

Okay, let's find out what we have prepared for you.



As you now, our two main products are Interlude Final and Gracia Final. Some players are confused with "Final" and updates that we made aimed to improve the game. We don't want players to be confused so we decided to make it clearer and change titles. Original titles remains the same with a little addition "Rework" to them, which means that there are original updates and features made by E-global team.

We understand that it's just some letters but this small changes will improve advertising along with server's online and life cycle. New title with better approach.



The first server by E-Global team in 2020 will be Interlude Reworked.
We decided to not make huge gameplay or balance updates and will open server based on version 1.5 (more information will be available in a separate topic) with few improvements that will be explained in detailed announce soon.

That does not mean that we will not change anything.
In this year we going to launch low rated server named "x1", which was trending in 2019 and will be in 2020.
We did not launch and re-opened x1 server one by one whole last year but instead we had enough time to figure some things out and ask players about what they like or not and come to conclusions with our own experience.



As was said, we asked our players about what they like or not and now we know what kind of server x1 should be. What we need to do to make it better and what features to keep because players liked them a lot



  • Server rates announced as x1 but in reality there will be system with dynamic rates change.
    Even on first stage players will not face the whole stage as x1 rates. Rates will decrease when character level is higher until cap of specific stage. When new stage becomes available, previous levels rates will increase, which will allow new players to catch up way easier and join the others.

  • One more arguable thing about stages is level cap. This is what makes stage concept to work but we think that players should be able to over grow. We decided to allow players get experience even when cap is reached but it will be x0.1 rates. This is hardcore, but if you have goals to achieve, you can do anything!

  • What to do when cap is reached, raid bosses killed and olympiad cycle is in heroes stage? That's right, level up your subclass! We reworked subclass system, however quest logic remains the same (RB-RB-RB-RB, items, items items) but also created "mirror" quest version for each stage. Instead of bosses level 75 you will fight bosses level 55 on the first stage. But why do you need subclass? There are some reasons:
    1. We have system with simple subclass abilities, which will work for both main and subclass. This is not a big but useful bonus.
    2. Epic and raid bosses. You want to farm everything but your level is too high for some bosses? Don't want to create other characters just for farming? Subclass will help you to have one character for many different activities.
    3. Maximum level is capped and you can easily reroll into any class to be more useful for your party or clan.

  • This part of server concepts is arguable. There are 2 ways to move between stages: exact time set up by server administration and dynamic transition based on several triggers being tracked manually on databases.
    We think that transition is a process that can only be controlled by players and we want you to decide when you are ready to move on. To do that we created system that will track specific actions for each player and results will be available for everyone (7 signs for example). We think that it is fair for players and we as server administration will not interfere with stages transition on our own..

  • One of the most interesting changes for players become olympiad. New system allows you to compete without having noblesse status. Fights between characters level 50 and a lot of fun - that is what you like.
    We understand why players like this part of the game but still think that there is not enough motivation, so we decided to make few improvements:
    1. Hero's weapons. What a hero without weapon? The is not point to give S-grade weapons for characters level 50, so we created new hero weapons B and A grade, which will change with stages. Weapons stats and bonuses will be also changed.
    2. Hero's abilities. Hero's abilities are quite overpowered and it's too much to give all of them on early levels. We decided to give 1 ability per stage. On the first stage heroes will get Heroic Miracle, on the second Berserker and so on. Hero is not only shiny aura but also some special benefits.
    3. Minimal level for joining olympiad fights will be increased with each stage. This way on 3rd stage there won't be fights between players 75 level and level 50. It's all about balance.

Summing up we want to say that we analysed a lot of features and concepts, got your feedback and players from different clans and projects. Now we know what players want and this is what we have been preparing.
Our vision of x1 server with stages and our developments, balance improvements for Interlude Reworked makes this product optimal for many players from different chronicles:
  • You like Interlude? This is it. With some useful updates and relevant for 2020.
  • Big fan of Gracia? Here you can develop your character, party or clan with the same level of interest. This is very close to Gracia.. but no chickens.
  • You like Classic? A lot of mechanics are very similar to it.

What is Lineage 2 - Interlude in 2020?

Let's go a little back in time when Interlude servers was classic.

After a lot of sessions we learned how to play and discovered all the secrets of Interlude. We understood the game and learned how to reach something in a few days that seemed way harder and we could spend for it a lot of time.
Then different projects started to create something new to make the game more diverse and to keep up interest to old good Lineage 2. Creating new content, updates, improving game client and lowering rates in order to extend game session.

For the past few years our team and other projects created several alternate game variants (mods) and this helped us to figure out what to we need for Interlude in 2020.
On the one hand, problem of low rate servers is daily routine when you gain experience that barely gives you 0.01% on experience bar. This usually becomes boring and we do not get satisfied from the game. On the other hand players has different approach to the game. Some players has 2 hours online per day, some has 20.
This always leads to situations when players don't even meet online even though they play on the same server. This is weird because it looks like they don't play on the same server.

This problem partly solved by implementing stages.
Why do we say solved? Because now both groups of players can play the same game and have the same goals. This is great!
Why partly? Because we have to cut some content and make it unavailable until some moment. Not every player will satisfied of this cut game version, especially players who used to reach cap in a few days. For this kind of players game might become too boring and they won't like to wait for other players.

So what we need to know?

We need to create modern and relevant game that will satisfy the most players with different game session time.

We have been using new game client which allows us develop more features. This is important to understand that this upgrade is needed in 2020 and it's time to forget old fashioned blue interface from 2006. High FPS is real thanks to modern client.
We have created our own style and you can always recognize us. We have a lot of unique features that makes our project unique too, no matter which game version we are launching. You can love us or hate us but you should all agree that playing Lineage 2 on L2e-Global.com is much fun!

      Usually it's not worth to kill monsters that has lower level than you, but this system applies serious penalties when you kill monsters with higher level.

      • During fights week players will get +3 points on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
      Olympiad is divided into two weekly cycles:

      • First olympiad cycle - Fights week (no heroes)
      • Second olympiad cycle - Heroes week (no olympiad fights)
      • When fights week starts, Hero status is disabled
      • Heroes week is on the same week with 7 signs victory week and castle sieges
      • First period starts on March 23 (23.03 - 29.03);
      • First heroes - March 30, 00:00 (30.03 - 05.04)
      Schedule:

      • Olympiad fights - 19:00 - 23:00 server time (registration is closed in 15 minutes before Olympiad ends)
      • Countdown before teleportation is 60 seconds
      • 9 players needed to start class-irrelevant fights
      • 5 players needed to start class-specific fights
      • Class-specific olympiad is only available on fridays
      • For 3х3 fights needed 5 groups (15 players total)
      • 3х3 fights is only available on saturdays
      Combat:

      • Before fight starts, players can choose up to 5 buffs from the list:

      • Blessed Spiritshots available during olympiad fights, including beast blessed spiritshots
      • Maximum number of points you can lose or earn is 10
      • Added new Olympiad Arenas!
        • This will make olympiad games more different and will include new fight tactics.
      Grand Olympiad rewards:

      Players will earn daily achievments for participation in olympiad:
      • Participate in olympiad
      • Win number of fights
      • Win streaks

      Each achievment unlocs one or several random rewards.
      • NGP store reworked according to character level. In olympiad store will be available:
        • Enchant Scrolls C, B and A grade
        • Runes that increase successful enchant odds (C and B grade)
        • Life Stones
      Hero status on first stage:

      • Hero's Weapons now has stats of top B grade weapons but keep it's unique bonuses, depending on weapon type.
      • Only two abilities available:
        • Heroic Miracle: bonuses to P.def and M.def reduced to 2250 and 1575
        • Heroic Berserker
      • Heroes also rewarded with
        Hero Cloak. 14 days limited personal item.



    • On the first stage subclass quest was changed:
      • To get your subclass you need to complete reworked
        Fate's Whisper quest.
      • You can acquire quest at Maestro Reorin, north-east near Town of Oren.
      • Instead of killing Cabrio you will need to kill Ghost Knight Kabed (level 55), in the The Cemetery.
      • Instead of Tower of Insolence bosses you will need to kill Barion, Karte, Verfa. Their levels was changed to 52, 55 and 58-го.
      • After killing all this bosses you will need to bring scepters to Reorin, then hunt Vanor Silenos in Plains of Glory, until you collect 100 Silenos Shards.
      • Next you can use standart exchanger:
        • Top-B gr. weapon
          (without B crystals), trade for
          Low-A. gr weapon
      • Or alternate way:
        • 984 B-gr. Gemstones
          , to complete quest without weapon


      • You can create your first subclass when you complete alternative subclass quest, you can add another subclass when you reached level 60 on your previous subclass.
      • Experience gain for subclass is the same as for your main class. (means that exp changes in dynamic rates system is the same)
      Subclass Ability system:



      • Starting from level 50 for each 5 levels on all three available subclasses your character will get certificate: sert.png Certificate - Emergent Ability. You can get total of 21 certificates at levels 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 on each subclass.
      • This certificates are used to learn Subclass abilities. There are 7 different passive skills, each skill has 3 levels:


      • Skills can be learned on your main class at NPC Avant-Garde on second Ivory Tower floor, but this skills work for both main and subclass of your character.

      • So you potentially have access to 9 certificates at first stage. Subclass on first stage is not necessarily needed but still really helpful. In case when you reached cap really fast and don't want to grind with x0.1 rates you will be able to level your subclass aswell.
      • If you level up all three subclasses to level 80, you can learn all available skills at this moment!

      • Boss respawn timer always counts from boss respawn, not from actual death.


      • Keep in mind:
        • In farm zones of Frintezza, Antharas, Valakas, Baium, Zaken epic bosses - you can logout from the game for up to 10 minutes. If character stays offline for more than 10 minutes it will be teleported to the nearest town.
        • We can increase some stats or levels of Epic Bosses, but will inform you for couple of days before such changes.
        • Lineage 2 - is a social MMORPG, where you already know everything and understand how things work, we do too. There are some rules in situations when players trying to cheat or do any other inapropriate actions. We want the game to be fair for every player.
          • If Epic Boss is attacked by characters with higher level than the Boss, it may cause drop penalty. For example if Zaken is attacked by characters level 63 and earring did not drop - Administration will not compensate drop.
          • Epic Jewelry and other unique items acquired by clan is a part of game process. If a player of a group decides to change side and go to other clan - Administration will not interfere.
          • If a player got some clan equipment (for example borrowed equipment for olympiad and did not give it back) - we can return items to it's owner.
          • RMT leads to permanent ban


      • The same as on previous Rework products:
        • All Epic Bosses can also drop Forgotten Scrolls:
          • Magician's Will
            • +5% M.atk, Cast. speed and 5% magical clarity
          • Fighter's Will
            • +5% P.atk, atk. speed and 5% physical clarity
          • Archer's Will

        • Chance and amount:

        World Boss with daily spawn from 21:00 to 22:00 server time.
      • After Queen Ant death will spawn special NPC which will grant players with special rewards. The same NPC will also spawn in town of Gludio. Rewards list:

          Vitality points, that increases amount of experience gained.
        • Personal item:
          Bottle of Queen Ant's Soul.
        • Luxury Shop in Giran you can exchange your Bottle of Queen Ant's Soul for temporary personal
          Cursed Ring of Queen Ant
        • Jewelry stats: M. Def + 32, P. Critical Chance +15, P. Critical Power +7%, PvE defence +5%;
        • This is personal time limited C-grade ring. Bonuses from two identical rings will not be provided, however with real Ring of Queen Ant or Olympiad Warrior's Ring it can be used.
          • 2 Bottle of Queen Ant's Soul - 24-hour limited ring;
          • 10 Bottle of Queen Ant's Soul - 7-days limited ring.




    • As we said, stage transition will only depend on player's actions.
      We have upgraded our Achievment system, added new sections with some adjustments for the existing ones.

      Being online, developing your character, crafting equipment, completing quests, PK or PvP, developing subclasses or participating in Grand Olympiad - all this actions has special achievments.
      There are different sections with different types of achievments. For example achievments for daily online you can find in "Online" section.

      There are one-time achievments or daily. For example you get one-time achievment for reaching level 20 and you can get reward for daily achievment for being online for 4 hours in a single day.
      All daily achievments resets at 6:30 in the morning every day.
      You get special rewards for completing different achievments.

      On the first server stage there are 6 achievments that will affect stage transition:
      • Reaching level 60;
      • Completing subclass quest;
      • Top B grade weapon crafting;
      • Killing 10 Raid Bosses;
      • Completing 24 "Online" achievments;
      • Completing at least one achievment from each section.
      After completing any of this six achievments you will get personal reward. After completing all of this achievments you will add points to Stage Progress bar.

      You can track your personal progress and Stage progress in .achiv menu
      After progress bar is filled - transition to next stage will happen. This process may take up to 3 days and requires restart. All players also will be warned about stage transition.

      First players who will complete Stage Achievments will get cool rewards! More information about rewards will be posted later.

        • If stage transition happens on olympiad fights week minimum level 52 will remain untill the end of a cycle.
      • New items in olympiad store (NGP):
        • Enchant scrolls for armor and weapons including S-grade
        • Runes that increase successful enchant odds including A-grade
        • Life Stones
      • Hero weapons has stast of top A-grade weapons
      • Updated hero abilities:
      • Heroic Miracle: p.def and m.def bonuses increased to 3000 and 2250

      There are some penalties on Interlude Rework when you kill monsters which are higher level than you.
      Usually it's not worth to kill monsters that has lower level than you, but this system applies serious penalties when you kill monsters with higher level.




    • Upon reaching stage 3 all Interlude Rework content becomes available:

        On our previous Gracia Final server we implemented this instance with chain of corridors, monsters and bosses which allowed our players to enjoy hours and hours of new game content, fresh motivation to unite into groups and it's also alternate way to farm good equipment for everyone!

        We had nice feedback from our Gracia Final players on this instance, so we decided to add this chain to our Interlude Rework product too. On third stage you will be able to try this instance too and fight Baylor.

        Primeval Isle
        At the start of the server Primeval Isle has a 1st stage. To increase level of the stage and discover more locations for farm - players must complete certain task.

        Desctiption of the Raid Boss Sailren

        • Raid Boss level - 76
        • Spawn Location - Primeval Plains
        • Re-spawn time - 20 hours
        • Any HP restoration spells (like Restore Life etc) are available to use on the Raid Boss.
        • Drop - Clan Reputation Points scrolls (CRP) and items:

        Increasing of the stage
        To increased stage of the Primeval Isle you will need:
        • Level 2 - kill 5 Sailren Bosses;
        • Level 3 - kill 5+1 Sailren Bosses (1 while Primeval Isle is on level 2);
        • Level 4 - kill 6+1 Sailren Bosses (1 while Primeval Isle is on level 3).
        Decreasing of the stage
        • In case if during 24 hours Sailren hasn't been killed after Primeval Isle stage has been increased to level 2 or higher - the stage of Primeval Isle will be decreased by 1.
        • When stage of Primeval Isle will be increased to 4 - it will be automaticaly decreased to level 3 after 3 hours.
        Simple explanation: players will have 4 hours to kill Sailren to increase the stage. In case if Sailren will not be killed during 4 hours - level of the stage will be decreased by 1.

          • Primeval Plains - location is filled on 50%;
          • Lost Nest - location is fully closed.
        • 2 Stage - available for 24 hours
          • Primeval Plains - location is filled on 100%;

        Forge of the Gods

        At the start of the server location Forge of the Gods is fully closed and there is no monster at all.

        To increase level of the stage and discover more locations for farm - players must complete certain task.

        Silent Valley


        This location is inhabitet by monsters which lost their control during the war of gods when they have met Goddes Shilen and her dragons. They have betrayed their brothers and were fighting for Goddes of Destruction and after defeat they have been expelled from the Giant's Cave. They still want to return back to their home but being driven by their generals Ain, Mavon and Seth, they have occupied the approaches to Giant's Cave.

        Giants and their allies ask you to help in definition of madness brothers.
        You need to hunt down the monster to prove your loyalty to the Giant race and they will share their knowledge with you which will help you to improve your armor.





        Location population
        There are group of monsters with their leader which is aggressive and once you will fight against him - all of the guards will engage to protect the leader. Also there are a regular warriors walking around and some scouts.
        Except mobs - you will face 3 new Raid Bosses, which have usefull drop and they are needed to complete the quest.





        Groups

        Monsters have some active and passive skills, which we will not describe to not ruin the spirit of adventurism. Go and test the location by your self, create your own strategy of farming etc. Be createful.

        1. Archers and Warriors - agressive monsters that will try to make you leave the location.
        2. Scouts - aggressive monsters that can see through the Stealth\Shadow.They scouting their region and will fight you. If they can't defeat you - they will run to other monster, which will attack you right away. You will have 40 sec to kill it, before he will announce the invasion.

        Giant's Assistant Keoh
        You can find him at the start of the location, right on the TP spot. He will tell you the story of this location and will offer to do some tasks to improve your armor. If you will defeat monster at this location - you will receive a Piece of Giant items.
        There are 3 stages of the Alliance with Giants.

      We've been working on Interlude Rework product for more than two years and made 5 global game updates and dozens of small fixes. Main goal for us is to create game world with balance for all classes. We want to make any class useful and relevant so any player can enjoy the game on Interlude Rework!

      On the previous Interlude Rework x7 server you could see very active Olympiad on Interlude with more than 20 professions. You created new party setups with rare profession like tanks, assasins or summoners, gladiators, tyrants or warlords. You killed bosses with mages or did great power exp as tanks.
      This is what Interlude Rework is. When you playing the game you understant, you can choose any class you like. There is no OP classes, Lineage 2 has 31 different classes and you should be comfortable with any of them!

      • When OE Armor is equiped - the maximum amount of HP increases, but is not replenished.
        • Example: If a character has 3000/3000 Health, and he equipes Draconic Leather Body +8, then his maximum Health will increase by 388, and his HP after the armor is equiped: 3000/3388
      Additional HP, depending on grade:

    • In changed Silent Valley location there is new quest chain that allows you to increase trust level with Giants. They will offer you to exchange proofs of war with exiled giants for their knowlege.
      You can acquire special item and upgrade your armor. This armor provides special bonuses but becomes class bound.

  • Vitality system changed to fit Interlude. This system is created to make levelling easier. Thanks to this system and daily bonuses you will get more experience.

    Vitality stages

    • Each stage of Vitality provides bonus Exp.:
      • Stage 1 — +25% experience bonus
      • Stage 2 — +50% experience bonus

    • Vitality only affects experience gained for monsters, raid boss experience is not increased.
    Vitality consumption

    • Total 4 vitality stages is 20000 points
      • Level 0 → 1 is 240 points
      • Level 1 → 2 is 1.560 points
      • Level 2 → 3 is 12.800 points
      • Level 3 → 4 is 3.600 points
      • Level 4 → Maximum - 1.800 points
    • Upon killing monsters character gains bonus experience but loses Vitality points.
    • The higher level of your character and the more experience you get, Vitality will spent faster.
    • When a character is created, it has 10000 VP out of 20000 Maximum points.
    How to resore Vitality

    Your chracter will gain Vitality points for:
    • Killing any Raid Boss
    • Daily Queen Ant bonus (5000 points)
    • Completing daily quests:
      • Rim Kamaloka (from 1000 to 5000 points)
      • Group Kamaloka (5000 points)
      • Boss kill (5000 points)
    • Completing Pailaka (10000 for 1st, 20000 for each 2nd and 3rd).
    • Being offline grants you 4 points per minute
    • Being in peaceful zone grants you 6 points per minute
    • Vitality Herb herb makes your character regenerate VP after killing monsters for short period.

      • Upon using you will get one of three head accessories at random. This accessories provides active skill: you will gain Vitality Points for killing monsters, instead of losing.

  • We decided to add Fame system on Interlude Rework too. This system motivates players to fight more and it also has potential in character development.

    Unique constant event: King of the Hill

    • Belts. Weight limit bonus, inventory size, PvP attack or defence bonuses
    • PvP upgrades. Special bonuses for weapons or armors (5% PvP damage or defence bonuses)

    • BSSD.png All items including consumables are personal. This items cannot be traded or sold to vendor.

What we have done with server rates and why?
First of all you need to remember that rates is a feature of freeshard servers.
Game on official servers always was long and hard but today players used to play less and speedrun. This is how rates multipliers became relevant.
Then it all became standart for Lineage II servers.

Proper server rates and tempo is important for servers to be relevant and interesting for players.


According to our tests and overall experience we've come to dynamic server rates model which we already used on our Gracia Final server.
What actually dynamic rates is?
  • Dynamic rates means that you will start with stated x3 rates and as long as your character grow, rates will decrease gradually to x1.
  • Amount of experience depends both on your level and monster level
  • Each "stage" when rates will change is every 20-30 levels
  • Rates for adena and items drop is x1
  • We are trying to create most comfortable and smooth system when rates will not become hardcore
All this things lead us to contition where any player can be comfortable with rates, players with low online mostly. This also makes low levels content much easiers so players will not stuck on early levels. Main war between clans will be on x1 rates which makes game more fair.
Rates will also increase over time, for example after one month rates for levels 1 to 40 can be x7 instead of x3, so new players can catch up easily.

there will be more admin support or it will be like past server that if you donate for some feature that doesn't work admin gives a shit about it?

Had to make an account just to congratulate you on the crazy good work with showcasing the server features in such detail. The features themselves seem quite interesting as well.
Probably a bit of nitpicking, but I think it would be nice if the section with skill balance included all the new/custom skills difference between normal Interlude and your Interlude Rework, to give new players, like me, a better sense of how classes play out. For now I found this post describing many skill changes, but it is from summer 2018. Does it include everything?

We are planning to create knowlege base for Interlude Rework with all features, skills and any ther custom changes. This launch will be on 1.5 patch version with all custom or reworked abilities, including specific changes for this launch.
You can find specific changes for this launch in server concept description (second post in this thread), we've posted it recently :)

Please note, that we decided to work with only one updater that used to be alternative (light version), you need to download it if you have not yet.
