Hacking of players' login-pass on IL x25 via TeamSpeak

Please pay attention to this serious topic.

 

In these latter days a cases of hacking of personal data of our players increased with the help of Trojan virus, disguised as a TeamSpeak software update (TS). How it works: someone offers players to join a clan/CP, or offers to buy/sell gaming values, and suchlike. For these purposes you are invited to his TS room (for example, gtm.ts3srv.xyz). Once you have entered it a malware under the pretense of TS-updating offers you to upgrade to the new version, which is actually a disguised virus. You agree by pressing "ok", and your PC automatically downloads and installs a malicious program which copies all of your personal data, all user logins and passwords, including data to the Lineage2 accounts. Then after a few minutes your Operating System notifies you about some error and PC hangs up. While you are trying to re-start it, your game accounts and characters are being hacked.

 

Friends, we strongly encourage you to be more careful and cautious! Do not install suspicious upgrades! Do not download unknown software from unproven web resources! Double check reliability of the source! Watch carefully what exactly and whom from you are proposed to install, how the updating window looks like. And especially - be careful when unfamiliar players offer you to join in their TS-room (or download some software/update). Many players already have suffered because of their negligence. If you do not protect yourself, we also cannot protect you.

 

If you are among the victims and you have already installed on your PC third-party software via TS, we strongly recommend you to install antivirus software and make a full check of your PC, or preferably to reinstall the operating system.

We hope that this information will warn you of mistakes that befell other players.

 

We also ask you to inform us about any suspicious contacts in which unfamiliar to you persons will offer to enter into unknown TS- room. We need nicknames, dates, time, names of TS- rooms, links that you are offered to go - all that relates the topic. Please send this information to the Support Team via the CP or in PM to the forum moderators.

 

Please also spread this information to your friends, party and clan members.

In order to defend yourself just do not install suspicious updates and/or software. Also use protection on your PC (antivirus and brandmauer/firewall).

As to providing you or someone else with such like malware - this won't happen :holypeka: and I think you shuold understand why ;)
