Our team is pleased to welcome you to the new stage of the E-Global project and is ready to share information about future plans.

To begin with, over the years of our work on the market, we have appealed our players to the most contradictory feelings, made some strange mistakes, and delivered to you no less exciting dramas.

At the same time, in the history of Free-shard servers, we were the only project that managed to successfully launch such a number of diverse products - Interlude / Gracia / H5 / GvE, as well as setting the trend of authoring servers, which our former partners supported with confidence and enthusiasm.

We want to believe that experience, work and pains were not in vain.

What is MasterWork?

The idea behind the name "MasterWork" is an analogy with a rare item from the world of Lineage2, a product that was combined from several valuable elements and with a certain chance became better and more valuable among others.

The value - is the decision, to redesign the most popular chronicles of our youth.

Quality - is our ability to maintain the core message of Korean publisher NCSoft in the golden era of Lineage 2 (2006 - 2011).

 
 

We understand that this is one of the most ambitious work that we have ever done, and we want you to understand this as well. The work is comparable, in capacity, to the official publisher.

We have to not only update each individual chronicle, but also link them together with a logical scenario, remove the root technologies that are outdated more than 10 years ago, and make changes to the visual component - the interface, the client.

We would like to note that it is also impossible to do this without intervention in the fundamental mechanics. Skills, locations and bosses should be revised, since a fair balance is exactly what should be at the head of the table.

To summarize, Masterwork - is NCSoft logic (2006 - 2011) and adaptation from our team (2020).

MasterWork - is 3 key stages in the development of the storyline,
in each of which you go through 2 phases, namely

 
 
Pre Interlude

Boosting phase of the Interlude stage, where the formal level limit is 60th, then server rates are significantly reduced;

 

Recommendation: getting ready for A-grade craft.

 
Full Interlude

The main phase of the Interlude stage, in which you can enjoy the main features of the game in the legendary chronicles, the level limit is 72. Soon, before the stage change, the Kamaels will become available;

Recommendation: do not forget to level-up the Kamael.

 
 
 
Pre Gracia

The acceleration phase of the Gracia stage, where players have access to S-Grade equipment and partially the island of Hellbound preparation.
The level limit is 79

Full Gracia

The main phase of the Gracia stage, where players will dive into the main feature of the chronicles - each player influences the political arena of the server.
The level limit is 83.

The acceleration phase of the H5 stage, where players have access to, only the most relevant locations, for the extraction of Vesper.

The main phase of the High Five stage, where the whole world of ElmorAden is revealed to you. It is proposed to invest the maximum in your character by farming the main resources for the Elegia equipment.

At this stage, the first server will be considered as a stock server, and all players who want to enjoy the above chronicles again, will be offered a new server, which will later be merged with the stock server.

The MasterWork product will become the main and only one for our team, of course, if it would be appreciated by You, Our players.


Note

  • When changing each stage, the server rates will rise for the previous one, thus capturing the 60th level at the Pre-Interlude stage will take place with a rate of x1, but already at the Interlude stage, the same rate is x3.
  • Any player who is "late" to the start will be able to easily catch up and get as close as possible to the active part of the community, and a live market, the presence of an exchange will help him to get the current equipment of previous grades.
  • Each stage and , phase on the first launch will NOT switch after a fixed time, adjusted for in-game events and player achievements, since we have to track down this process.
  • Our goal is to offer any player the gameplay in the format he likes best, while leaving the opportunity to try something new, which has always intrigued, but never came to practice.

This is an 8-year history. The time when almost all of us became “Lineagers”.

We created our first character, learned the first active skill, got a profession for the first time, won our first PVP, (skipped our first lection / lesson), joined our first clan, met our first future online friend.

Each of those reading this message went through his own unique stage of familiarization with this Game, the path of becoming in this game. Each of us had our own unique experience, which formed our individual opinion about the pros and cons of Lineage.

However, since you are reading our message on the forum of the free-shard project, and not watching the success of your homunculus on the auto battle, it means that you and I have common strong feelings for this particular Game, which has already become a living classic: "Lineage 2 since 2003 to 2011 ".

We have assembled a team of people like you who, value this Game, and set ourselves the following tasks:

  • Create game worlds of Lineage 2, combining the entire "classic" way of progress of the game. From making the Gloves of Karmian, to getting Elegy from Blessed Fray;

  • Create game worlds of Lineage 2 with a life cycle of half a year, two servers per year (in autumn and spring), which will be combined into a common "drain" server. We want to work for an audience of Players who appreciate their time and our efforts;

  • To create our version of Lineage 2, making the game interesting and comfortable at all fronts. From game mechanics to customization and events. From building a public base to developing social commune.

We are aware of the fact that in recent years we have created a canon, familiar to everyone, that autumn is the time of GF from E-Global. Believe me, it would be easier and more profitable for us both in terms of spending resources on preparation and discovery and in terms of profit. However, we are sincerely confident that you deserve the best. Only for this and for this purpose, we took on, perhaps, the most ambitious project both for us and for the free-shard server as a whole. Servers have never been developed with such a diligence, meticulousness and love for our work.

And we are confident that our many years of experience with you at E-Global and our branches in particular is just the beginning. The path, that brought you and us to the starting point of "MasterWork v1.0".

As you already understood, our goal is not "to create an Interlude from 2006, with blue frames and a destroyer in the FOG". As well as not creating a server exclusively for esports or, conversely, for players with zero social activity. Over the years working on Lineage 2 servers, we have created and developed the sensations and understandings of various players and our audience in particular. On our servers, solo players perfectly coexist with online 2 hours every 2 days, huge communities of clans that pursue the idea of a marathon, not a sprint, and groups and clans that are most focused on the game itself, which from year to year prove that you can only become better, faster and stronger.

What we are doing is long-term construction. The final task of which is to provide a coherent game world that conveys the spirit of the game.

Every "classic" version of the game, from C1 to HF, had its own romance. As well as its own imba, its flaws, mechanics, which were brought to mind after several updates. There were also abuses, which became obvious after a while, and did not receive a proper response from the official developer due to the irrelevance of the game versions. The mechanics that the Koreans came to in the new versions and which were absent in the old ones only because at the time of their relevance, these mechanisms had not yet been invented.

One of the main questions from you to us now are "Why Interlude ?!", "Why GF ?!" and "Well, what else is HF ?!" Over the years, each version of the game has formed its own audience, which subjectively and justifiably considers its choice to be correct, and other stages of the game as something that will have to be put up with, while waiting for / after your favorite version.

Again, we are not aiming to make "Interlude with add-ons", otherwise we would have launched our already finished product, "Interlude Rework", which proved to be excellent this spring, as an example of a long-running server with an excellent audience.

We do not strive to make "Gracia with add-ons", otherwise we would have launched our already finished product, "Global Gracia", which has been showing itself perfectly for 5 years already, collecting incredible hype and all kinds of bigwars.

And we do not strive to make "High Five", otherwise it would be Averia.ws, which for 3 years set the pace for the entire market.

We set out to do something more, and it is likely that we will not achieve the desired result for the first time, but thanks to your experience and responsiveness, our attention to your desires and needs, tons of energy drinks and faith both in you, our players, and in our true idea of the best game - we open "Lineage 2" called "MasterWork".

So what is MasterWork v1.0?

There are three q&a’s that are important to analyze separately in the dialogue format:

The pace of character development: The stages of the game world. This is the answer to the question: "What to play?"

The balance of class skills and general game mechanics. This is the answer to the question: "How to play?"

"Our handwriting". This is what we have created by trial and error over the past years, what has been transferred and supplemented from server to server, and what is both understandable to our regular audience and important for newcomers to understand.

This message serves as a general answer to the first question, namely: "What are we calling You to play".

Now, as always, a two-way dialogue with you is important for us. This is where this acquaintance message is born, when we show what we believe in, and you, in turn, have an excellent opportunity to participate in this with your opinion, your criticism and your pre-launch assessment.

The main "core" of events at each Stage occurs at x1 rates. On the one hand, we are convinced that at the turn of 2020 and 2021, you already know how to play Lineage 2. This means that, as practice shows, both our discoveries and the discoveries of our fellow competitors - x1 can be flown to the cap in a matter of weeks. Yet this is a game that we have all studied for a long time from different angles and know exactly what an effective game is. On the other hand, "x1" is the base rate of this game. The way the developers created this game, tying to this the pace of character development, the economy of the game, all that emotional magic, due to which each of us, as a player, decided for ourselves what is the difference between victory and defeat, as well as the answer to the question of whether it is worth returning to Lineage 2 again.

The stages tell about the following:

Don't be in a hurry. This is a marathon, not a sprint. We offer a game with a measured pace, where you do not need to headlong and forget about everything to take the 85th level at x0.1. It is necessary, and this is probably the most important thing in order to get emotional satisfaction from the entire gaming session, to understand that the game starts from the first level. Yes, right from your character creation. Not from crafting the coolest weapons, not from studying all skills and not from the moment of becoming a hero. It starts exactly from the moment, when the character is created. Do not forget this and do not miss the opportunity to enjoy the process of the game, chasing only victory.

The real "sparring" distance of each Stage is several levels, one or two grades of items and a couple of new buttons. And one way or another, all and everyone will receive it. Within the framework of any one game version, as well as within the framework of development without stages - there is a concept of snowball in the game, where those who play 3 shifts for 20 hours per result - increase the gap from everyone else and go through the game many times faster, resting on that in the end they have neither competitors nor goals (in exchange for fatigue and chronic lack of sleep).

Everyone's choice, of course, but we offer a marathon with portioned game content. At each Stage there is something in which you can be the first, on account of you can locally snowball and on the basis of which you can be proud of yourself and hang the medals of the winner. However, the tricky part of the situation is that this is a game about comebacks, about adding game content, which neutralize "snowball at the expense of snowball" effect. And as a result, the winners will not be those who wear the first A grade, take the first Nobless or Attribute the first 150 weapon, but those who will not break at a distance and will be able to reach the finish line. ? 

The game "on Gracia" or "on HF" starts exactly at the same moment as the game "on Interlude". Taking into account the specifics of skills, custom, stages of the server - it can be called "stage-dividen Grace with additions" or "stage-divided HF with additions". The question is that we have lost the habit of crafting Karmian on Graces and wearing BW on HF. However, the grade of equipment, as well as the character's experience bar, is more of a decoration. The essence of the game remains exactly the one that does not need to wait.

But for the devout monogamous Kamaels, we have prepared not only a year-round advertising campaign (yes, the point is to collect online at each stage; in the language of marketing - it will be 6 starts in a row within one game world), but also a loyalty system so that the player , who came, for example, to the 3rd Stage with the introduction of Kamaels, was able to go through the progress of the first two Stages much faster than the "discoverers" who played from the start and joined the "active stage of the server's life" did. Do I need to explain why this is in the interests of the "discoverers"? We have gone through more than one server and we are sure that you understand this even better than us.? 

The logic for switching the Stages balk on the pace of the game and the competitiveness of social groups on the server. We can make a marketing biased promise: "Once every 20 days", and we can even keep it. However, we do not want to spoil the game world with actions based on rash promises. Roughly speaking, each Stage will last from 3 to 6 weeks, depending on yourself.?

When a person does not have the opportunity to enjoy his advantage or there is no way to prove that he is able to "turn over" the situation - this is bad. When a person stagnates and realizes that nothing is happening in his game, this is just as bad. We do not make a server for the pace of the game of leading clans and packs, just as we did not intend to build communism with housewives at the head. We have a sufficient amount of statistical resources, we hear and see our game world, respectively, we can guarantee that at least a week before the change of the Stage - we will give an announcement about this with all the terms and details, while in the process of specific Stages - give summaries with places of events and their analysis.? 

We will talk about this in more detail in a few days and we will analyze this together with you in many topics and podcasts from @Safero; now it is important to accept the fact that this is a social game with 31 playable classes, so you cannot look at any particular gaming profession in isolation from the other classes and mechanics. This is the work of synergy. Moreover, this is far from only mathematics, but also psychology, if you like.? 

If you go through facts, then:
The default skill base and mechanic is taken from the
High Five. That is, if you do not see in the description a change in any skill for any Stage - you are dealing with the High Five. HF is 80% an advanced version of Interlude / Grace, where "the logic is the same, but there is more variability." Another 10% are those things that are better left for the High Five, for example, a 10% minimum chance of passing debuffs - I'll see you at Stage 5 and not a day earlier. And another 10% are skills that "spoil the impression of a particular Stage": Destroyer limits, PP resists, Mage surrenders. This kind of thing is a certain hallmark of the game before Grace, and so be it.

Most of the GF / HF mechanics are relevant to the mechanics of earlier versions due to their level of availability: if the minimum level of appearance of Reneval, Champion and other KOVs is still reached on Graces, then what's the point of pulling the outdated mechanics of rolling back skills "From Interlude "if it still cannot be properly implemented? Hence, it is fair to give "seamless", holistic mechanics that do not change once per stage and do not confuse players where they are not needed.

"Custom", although it's fair to call it "our handwriting". We have identified three main problems that we are ready to solve with the help of "add-ons / custom":

  • The player does not have to wait several Stages / months until the moment he has "those buttons" for which he chose his class. Most of the personalizing skills that characters receive at levels 76-83 are divided into levels and the first levels will be available already at the First Stage, at levels 40-60. The final levels of these skills will be studied with the help of the corresponding books, at their "legal" levels. That is, Warcraer will receive Greater Fury at level 40, but for the sake of 50% GF he will have to wait for the 83rd lvl.

  • Not all the classes are equally useful, not all classes are equally playable, and not all classes are equally versatile. Archers are a prime example. On Interlude, FR is held in high esteem, on HFe - they prefer SR. It is logical to do what we have already done on our previous servers, increasing the relevance and competitiveness of the SR in the early stages, as well as the FR in the later stages. It is important not to forget that these are unique classes, and not to make of them something averagedout of them. Archers are not an AOE class and are forced to swing by other methods. We believe that this is wrong, but we do not want to take away the leadership in AOE from the mages during PVP. And you have already, no doubt, heard that we have "two bards in one"? This is a great opportunity to replace two problem people in a group with one motivated by a strong and irreplaceable class of person, as well as get one free slot for the class that you find most useful. We do not consider it permissible to impose any specific classes, the Cat and the Horse can be given off-parties as before, however, they inherited a number of changes and improvements from Interlude Rework, as well as the transfer of buffs from the master to the samon. Not easy, but not far from the server where you cannot recoup the charges and run with a starting toothpick on lvl 25.

But the main reason why the x1 economy is loyal to less active players is you. In the course of the game, you create and knock out C-grade, then make B-grade, then Low-A gr. After - go to Top-A; etc. This is not the server where you can jump from Devotion directly to the S grade?And where does all this good go after it ceases to be relevant to you? That's right, the Giran market or the Exchange where players who need it can buy it, and you free up resources for a new grade!     • Clan Wars -the purpose of the clan is to participate in clan wars, castle sieges, battles for epic bosses.

In order to get Active Clan Skills, visit the NPC Head of any guild who has the "Clan" line and get a special Brooch (Clan Leader Brooch), which must be worn in a special slot. After the clan leader puts it on, the active clan skills will appear.
Note! If you have increased the level of the clan, you must definitely visit the NPC Head of the Guild to get the Brooch of the next level.

  • There are no restrictions on class skills from the Sub-Class - lvl up not the class that will give you a useful skill, but the one that is interesting to you or the group needs;
  • All skills obtained from Sub-Classes work for both the Main class and all Sub-Classes.
  • We have also expanded the Sub-Skills system:

  • HP bonus is fixed and does not depend on buffs, passives, CON parameter and other sources of HP change.
  • Jewelry and Weapons do not give a bonus to HP.
  • When putting on OE Armor - the maximum number of HP increases, but does not replenish.

Usually, the accumulation of a fame is a boring procedure associated with afk finding a character in various besieged zones.
Habitual, of course, but incredibly boring.

We decided to improve the rules for obtaining a fame without interrupting it from the gameplay. For this we have created a kind of permanent event - "King of the Hill".

The essence of the event is to capture locations with your clan and receive a fame for holding them.

Locations are divided into 2 categories: Low and High. Please note that locations will change depending on the chronicle stage, so the list will change depending on the current stage.
 
  • The number of fame, depending on the time and location:
    • Low- locations, 8 frames per tick from 18:00 to 02:00 and 5 frames per tick from 02:00 to 18:00.
    • High- locations, 12 fame per tick from 18:00 to 02:00 and 8 fame per tick from 02:00 to 18:00.
  • Only members of a clan, that are at state of war can participate in the event;;
  • To capture, you need to have more living members of your clan at the location than any others, but at least 20.
  • After the clan captures the location:
    • In the shout, an announcement is made that the location has a new defender;
    • On the game map, next to the name of the location, the icon of the clan, that currently captured it, will appear.
    • Each living clan member who is in the location will have a special buff that will notify that he is the protector of the location and will receive fame;
    • The duration of the buff and the check on the state of the location will occur every 5 minutes;
    • Fame tick - every 5 minutes;
    • The amount of fame received is rated using the PA.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the original instance remained unchanged and does not in any way relate to its modified copy. Only the original instance will help you complete the Bird in a Cage quest, which opens the island of Hellbound.

The instance itself is 3 corridors with mobs, at the end of each you will find a Boss. As soon as you defeat each of the bosses, you can get to the main boss Baylor.
Let's start in order.

In order to get to the bosses you need to:

  • Gather a group of 7-9 characters;
  • Level: 74-85;
  • Fly to Hein.

Please note that 74, as the minimum level, does not mean that having collected a group of 74th level, you can easily pass bosses. For example, a wark with a cove will be almost irreplaceable, while level for physical group may be 74th.

All bosses are in the same instance zone, so you will only have one boss available at a time, with the exception of Baylor. In order to get to Baylor, you will need crystals that drop from each of the bosses. After collecting all 3 crystals, you can go to the main boss.

The zone rolls back 3 times a week:

  • Tuesday;
  • Thursday;
  • Saturday.

Note! In order to get to Baylor you will need:

    • After killing each of the RB, an NPC will appear, who will offer to leave the dungeon or go to Baylor. Please note that this way you will remain in the same instance zone and you will not have to wait for the zone to be rolled back;
    • You can go to Baylor at the starting NPC in Heine. Please note that if you go to Baylor through the NPC in the city, and not after killing the Boss, the general instance will be rolled back. Therefore, we recommend that you go through any Boss, even if the whole group already has all the crystals ready. There are no extra crystals ?

If for some reason you would like to visit only one boss, but you still want to get to Baylor, it doesn't matter.

  • There are 2 options for getting to Baylor himself:
    • As soon as you are ready - the party leader talks to the NPC and you are transferred to Baylor's Prison. All crystals are taken from the whole party.
    • During awakening, Baylor kills his guards and they drop a very important item that will be critically needed when farming:
      • Etc_water_dragon_claw_i00_0.jpg Water Dragon Claw - as a  Etc_water_dragon_scale_i00_0.jpg Water Dragon Scale following the example with RB Tears, it must be simultaneously applied on Baylor, to disable his invulnerability. Make sure that the whole group has these claws.
    • Once you're ready, start farming.
    • Alarm will appear around the Boss - try to kill them as quickly as possible. The strength of the boss and the buff that he will impose on himself depends on this.
    • The boss farming itself is quite simple, but it has 2 features:
      • Be sure to put Water Dragon Claw on the layout.
      • When he imposes invulnerability on himself, you will need to perform actions, by analogy with RB Tears:
        • To highlight Baylor for the whole party
        • At least 4 people from the group must use the Etc_water_dragon_claw_i00_0.jpg Water Dragon Claw item on the boss as quickly as possible (within 4 seconds).
        • As soon as the invulnerability effect disappears, you can continue to beat RB.

The event consists of two parts, a quest and an instance, and is designed to take place in the clan's command channel. For completing the quest, you can get experience, and as a reward for killing the Giant, a variety of drops is issued.
 

In Detailes:

  • The rollback of the zone instance and quest takes place at 6:30 am server time (GMT +2), the number of days depends on the stage.
  • The quest is taken from the NPC Adventurer's Guide.
  • Players of level 70-80 can complete the quest. Participate in RB farming players of level 70-85.
  • The entrance to the zone is available for command channels from 18 to 45 players (2-5 groups). In this case, the leader of the command channel must be the leader of the clan.
  • You can enter the instance through NPC Lucius, which is located in the city of Gludio.

Reward:

  • Guaranteed reward: experience for completing a quest, experience for killing the Giant;

After entering, players enter a zone free from RB aggression, where you can reorganize groups if necessary and raise the buff, and then start farming.

Having received significant damage, Cronus uses a force field that protects him from any kind of damage. To destroy the field, two groups of players need to go through the opened portals and destroy the Generators. You will have to try and find the real Generators among the fakes. When the force field weakens, you can continue the fight.

After the Giant dies, the drop normally falls to the ground, and it becomes possible to leave the zone through the portal.

The invasion of the dark forces promises a great danger, but this risk comes with a great reward. Our scouts have found that upon death, the messengers of the ancient gods can release huge reserves of energy, which for a long time endows the surrounding warriors with different abilities.

Dark Invasion - is a regular automatic event in which players have to fight monsters and raid bosses who have come through dark portals to take over the world of ElmorAden.

In details:

  • Invasions are divided into levels and start on schedule. Only players of the listed levels can beat back the invasion.
  • Information about the place where the portal appears and the recommended player levels are published in the announcements 10 minutes before the start of the event.
  • Duration of the fight with mobs: 20 minutes.
  • Time, set for killing RB: 20 minutes.

Reward:

  • Guaranteed reward: experience, vitality effects.
  • Drop from mobs: Life Stones, Ivory Coins.
  • Drop from Boss: Life Stones, B and A grade equipment, enchantment scroll.

Event description:

Information about the place where the portal appears and the recommended player levels are published in the announcements 10 minutes before the start of the event. Players of suitable levels need to gather at the event venue and prepare for battle.

At the appointed time, a portal will open in front of the players from which monsters will begin to emerge. The monster invasion lasts 20 minutes. After this time, the main Boss appears. It takes 20 minutes to kill the leader. If the players do not manage to kill the RB in the allotted time, then the portal disappears, and no reward is given.

Players can gain experience and valuable drops from monsters. The main reward is given after defeating the Boss.

The cyclic macro differs from the usual one in its ability to repeat continuously. If during its execution you do any action (move the character, use an item / skill, open the interface window), the macro execution will be interrupted. We have developed the current Achievements system, adding new and developing old sections, as well as improving the individual Achievements menu for your character.

Spending time in the game, lvling your character, creating equipment and completing quests, filling PVP and PC, developing sub-classes, participating in the Olympics - for all of this the character will receive personal achievements.
For convenience, they are divided into blocks. For example, all the achievements that are related to the daily and total time that the character is online are in the block: "Online"

There are Achievements - One-time, for example, for getting level 20, and Daily, for example, for a 4-hour stay in the game.
All daily achievements (as well as daily quests) are updated at 6:30 am server time.

To increase the safety of your characters, a special .lock command has been developed that will prohibit the transfer of things until the character is unlocked.

What it gives to you:

  • Once locked, your character cannot:
    • Transfer things;
    • Deal damage to other characters (so that things cannot be transferred using a PC).
      Details:
      • If a blocked character tries to hit a "white" character (not flagged), then no damage would be done.
      • If a blocked character tries to beat the flagged character, then the damage goes.
      • If a blocked character (at this moment "white") tries to beat the "character" of the character in the combat zone, then the damage goes.
      • If a blocked character (at this moment "white") tries to beat the flagged character in the combat zone, then the damage goes.

How to turn on?

A suggestion in the Olympics, just give the hero weapon and the modified abilities according to the stage, and do not give more rewards until the 70+ stage, because if from the beginning of the server they start to collect to be able to buy, GC, GCM, Posions Q., epics of olym, etc. When the time comes to be able to use it, or buy it, those articles will be flooded in the market, since they can be collected from the first stage of the server. (I say this without knowing what the reward of olym offers), but my recommendation is that in these early stages, the heroes, only give them the hero weapon and their hero skills, or simply that the Olympiad tokem do not accumulate by stages

 

oh and I would like to talk about the issue of double client, since many abuse that, place a maximum of 2 or 3 clients per PC, that would be much appreciated, if it is 2 better!

i wasnt understand correctly ur question about box, not client ? will be 4 box max limit or smth like that.

Will be some updates in skills like to upgrade game from 2004 to current. For example aura flash from mage will deal reduced pvp damage.

I think that 4 is too much, maximum should be 3 accounts per PC, but 2 would be ideal, so 2 people would not log a full party
